2018 Goals and Resolutions
As a New Year embarks upon us, these next few months are hopefully going to bring positive changes, but also some challenges too. I am not just talking about the challenge of having to correct your 7 to an 8 whenever you write the date from now until March, although that is tough to master to. I think the older we get and especially in our early 20s the New Year can be a great fresh start and chance for us to really push ourselves. With push always comes some sacrifice.
Whether your resolution is to be more physically fit and hit the gym more, to be more mindful and present (more on this to come), or something career related, it probably is not going to be easy. I wanted to start the year off by sharing my goals and resolutions, as well as some motivation to keep you inspired along the way.
So here goes….
- Post More on My Blog
Writing is a passion of mine and so is sharing my knowledge. I am hoping to use this blog as not only a creative outlet and informative tool. To accomplish both of those things, I must actually post. I have a strict goal of posting 3 times a week (Monday/Wednesday/Friday) and sticking to a content calendar….hold me accountable people!
- Grow My Side Hustle
This blog is a segue into my “side hustle” (if you are still not sure what that millennial term means, check back here Friday Jan 5). I want to continue working as a freelance social media and digital marketing manager and to do that I need to put myself out there and make both IRL and online connections. Shameless plug here, if you or someone you know may be interested in hiring some additional help with this task…send them my way!
- Be More Light and Positive
Toward the end of 2017, I was taking some things in life waaaaay too seriously. I want to go back to that light and positve way of thinking. Interestingly enough, I received a pair of earrings from Sheila Fajl for Christmas and it came with a New Years Card that pretty much sums up what I want 2018 to look like for me. It reads, “May your troubles be less and your blessings be more. May nothing but happiness come through your door.” For some reason this quote really stuck with me, maybe because I read it while already reflecting on wanting to lead a lighter, more positive life in the New Year. Regardless, I think that only happy things can come through the door if you are standing there with a positive, clear mind waiting to welcome them in. So heres to having that outlook!
Thanks for bearing with me through this lengthy post and I would love hear about your resolutions (and as always any social media/ digital marketing related questions you want answered!).
Be sure you are following my social media accounts, you can find me on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
